Merrow Infant School

Merrow CE Infant School

We are so lucky to have this friendly Infant School in the Parish. It is a two-form entry school for children aged 4-7 years old. We pride ourselves on our strong pastoral, inclusive approach to education and the lasting relationships we build with families; we get to know all our children as individuals so that we can help them become resilient, independent learners. We offer our children a broad curriculum with engaging, fun activities both inside & outside the classroom.

The SIAMS report stated: "The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Merrow as a Church of England school are outstanding”

· Pupils openly share their views on faith and belief in an environment which encourages exploration of what this means to Christians, people of other faiths and those with no faith.

· Explicit Christian values make a significant contribution to the pupils’ growing spiritual awareness and understanding of themselves and their place in the world.

· School leaders are deeply committed to the continual development of the Christian ethos so that it serves the needs of children and the wider school community.

We are rooted in the local community with incredible parental support, a supportive governing body and strong ties to St John the Evangelist Church.
