Merrow Community Gospel Choir (15th December 2019)

Joyful and uplifting performance by Merrow Community Gospel Choir

There was standing room only when the recently formed Merrow Gospel Choir performed an uplifting mix of carols and folk songs at St John’s Centre on Sunday. The Choir were fundraising for the Jeel-Al-Amal Boys Home in Palestine, where both Rev Rona and Sarah had personally visited early in the year. Describing it as an organisation ‘which may be far away in miles, but is very close to our hearts’, Sara and Rev Rona also called the occasion ‘a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas, where whatever your background or life experience, we can all come together as one.’

The Merrow Community Gospel Choir is led by Emily Bollon of Motivation by Music. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome to come along on Monday evenings from 5-6pm to sing, meet new friends and have fun.
