Message from Rev. Rona
"It is with great regret that the Church of England have advised that no public worship services are to take place with immediate effect. Prayers will continue to be said by clergy and ministers on behalf of everyone. We are endeavouring to put recordings of these on our website for all to access.
Our beautiful Church will be open daily, and we encourage you to come into the building for prayer and quiet reflection.
This is a situation which has never occurred in the history of the Church of England, and it is with a heavy heart that I write this. However, we worship a God of compassion, who is ever present, and is in the heart of every life, and every situation. As your Rector I would like to assure you that my daily prayer life continues, that I pray for you all, and welcome prayer requests, and I encourage you all to join me by downloading the Church of England Daily Prayer app, or listening to my recordings which we hope to upload to our website shortly.
This morning's Morning Prayer began with this prayer of thanksgiving, and I leave it as a blessing to you all:
"Blessed are you, God of compassion and mercy, to you be praise and glory for ever. In the darkness of our sin, your light breaks forth like the dawn and your healing springs up for deliverance. As we rejoice in the gift of your saving help, sustain us with your bountiful Spirit and open our lips to sing your praise. Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit".
Blessed be God for ever. Amen.
