A Reflection from New Zealand
A message to Rona from New Zealand clergy, which Rona would like to share with you all:
Dearest friends,
I'm currently on sabbatical in New Zealand, where the COVID19 picture is very different. As life goes on more or less as usual here but with a bit more hand washing and a bit less hand shaking, I have watched your conversations on here with huge admiration and gratitude for your love and care, professionalism and thoroughness, your readiness to step up to the mark in extraordinary circumstances, your compassion for those most at risk.
I've just said Monday morning prayer as you come to the end of a difficult Sunday, and perhaps one of the most difficult weeks you've faced in ministry. As you enter the darkness of night I wanted to share with you a picture of Monday morning dawning. Here it is light, and my pledge to you is to inhabit the light while you wait for the darkness to pass, as I know you will for me when the time comes. Blessings to you, wonderful, extraordinary women, and much, much love, and I pray for a peaceful night of restorative sleep for each and every one of you. The light will come xxx
