Thy Kingdom Come…

Undeterred by the wind and rain brought by Storm Dennis, the St John’s congregation were left palpably moved by Rev Rona’s sermon on the theme of ‘Thy Kingdom come.’ Rona beseeched everyone present ‘to examine the song that God put in your heart, and look for God’s kingdom on earth.’

The reading from St Matthew continued this theme ‘strive first for the kingdom of God…..do not worry about your life….look at the birds of the air…your heavenly father feeds them.’

Fittingly, a robin was perched outside the church, having braved the storms and not questioning that God would feed him!
