Crib Service 24th December 2019

‘Let us tell again the wonderful story and rejoice’

The Christmas Eve Crib Service  at St John’s brought together friends and families to celebrate the forthcoming birth of Jesus. From happy crawling babies, to parents, grandparents, and even a very well-behaved dog, everyone was welcome at the Service.

There were favourite carols, the telling of the Christmas story as well as time for quiet prayer. The children participated enthusiastically in helping to put together the three nativity scenes in the church. One of which had been carved from the root of an olive tree and brought from Bethlehem by Rev Rona, earlier in the year.

The church was constantly filled with beaming smiles from those who had ‘made room in busy lives to travel in spirit with Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.’

This Christmas Eve service was a truly special celebration.
