Welcome from Rona
Welcome to St. John’s – A caring Christian Community, here for everyone
“We love because he first loved us” 1 John 4:19
Welcome to St John’s. We are delighted that you have found your way to our website, and welcome you warmly.
Since the global pandemic has started to recede, St John’s has been working hard to be a relevant Christian presence in the community of Merrow. There is so much going on; from being a collecting point for donations to Ukraine, Foodbank, and Baby Basics, to regular worship opportunities, to keeping the Church open for prayer daily, a multitude of activities for the young and their families, and opportunities for fellowship.
For information on activities, look at our weekly newsletter, the monthly magazine, or pop by the Church noticeboard. Have you seen our range of new eye-catching banners announcing the different activities? Have you heard about the fabulous outside altar which we have been given, and already used at a service in the open air? Have you been able to look at a copy of the Activity Brochure for the next 3 months?
We hope you will find something to appeal to you, and that we will be able to enjoy your company as we listen to and learn what God would like us all to do with the gifts he has given us to build his Kingdom here in Merrow.
In addition to my daily prayer times, which you are very welcome to join, I am available for bringing home communion, making home visits, and getting together for a conversation. Please just contact me via my email (Rector@saintjohns.org.uk), I will be happy to hear from you.
With every blessing
Rev Rona Stuart-Bourne
