Christmas

It is with heavy hearts we must let you know that there has been a change of plan to the Christmas Services outlined on our website. After the latest Tier 4 announcement the leadership team have taken the decision to cancel our in person worship for the time being. We cannot in a good conscience remain open. We are spending today planning the week ahead and can assure you that we will still gather and worship online and in print. More details will follow but for now we wish you every blessing to you and all those you love as we navigate these extraordinary times.
Yet whatever Covid-19 brings our way, nothing can diminish the true spirit and meaning of Christmas. Whether attending online services, meeting virtually or simply praying alone, this is still a time to celebrate God’s love for the world through the birth of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is God’s gift to us to offer hope and light to a world in darkness, perhaps 2020 is the year we all start to feel closer to the true meaning of Christmas. We've put together a playlist of Christmas Music and Carols which you can find on YouTube here
At St. John’s we continue with a series of daily online Advent reflections with music, prayers and readings. We will continue to communicate online and through good old-fashioned printed services.
Please check back for the regular updates, and be assured that I pray for each and every one of you over this Christmas period.

With blessings

Rev Rona
