Bell Ringing

The bell tower has a peal of six bells which were given by the parishioners to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee of 1897. The bells were rehung in 1977.

Our bell ringers practise on a Tuesday evening from 7.30 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. and ring for our 10 a.m. service on Sundays. The bells are also rung for weddings and other occasions such as the Queen’s Jubilee, the Olympics, St George's Day etc.!

If you are over 10 years old ( no top age! ) and would like to see how it is done, or have go, please join us. It is fun, challenging and social and uses technique rather than strength. Further details from Jane on 01483 579926
